Giant Eagle

The Giant Eagles (traditionally called Great Eagles) are a powerful flying ally to the Elves in The Battle for Middle-earth II.

One Great Eagle may be summoned when an Elven Fortress has been upgraded with the Eagle's Nest. A pair of temporary Great Eagles can be summoned with the Elves' Summon Eagle Allies ability, a 3rd-tier power.

Gameplay

Great Eagles, like Fell Beasts, fly across the battlefield and never land. They swoop down upon enemies, causing crush damage to infantry and great harm to siege units. However, they are fragile and unarmored, and have low health-points. Allies Gwaihir Lord of the Eagles.
